Love this story. Everyone is due the honor of being their own person. Yet, Jasper always was considered less because of his mother's profession. Cora one of many in her family just did as she was told. Then tragic circumstances brought them together. She had to find a backbone he had to learn to trust before they could truly love. Cassie Hayes never fails to give a rich, thoughtfulness to her characters. She leaves us wanting to know what's next. I for one can't wait.Product details

Enjoyed reading a clean western romance without the senseless interjection of sex. Though sex is often what makes the story more interesting, this author elected to build on Cora and Jasper's respect for each other. Definitely one to keep.
I wondered how this story would resolve and keep Jasper and Cora together. When her kind brother-in-law Rafe believes he's killed her and her older husband Amos, Cora is left for dead. But she isn't dead and Jasper Eaton rescues her. this story has twists and turns. I enjoyed the story and loved the ending. I also love the cover.
Cassie Hayes has written the perfect story to fit into The Morgan's Crossing family, when she introduces us to Cora and Jasper. Cora Winters is on her way to Idaho to start a new life when an accident lands her as a guest of Jasper Eaton, a tenant farmer who is working hard to make a success of himself. Together they both learn a lesson in survival and compassion with a healthy dose of love thrown in for good measure. This is an incredible book and it showcases Ms. Hayes's talent for storytelling.
A sweet love story between Jasper and Cora that was pure enjoyment to read. Cassie Hayes never disappoints and always delivers a stellar story about love, hope, and overcoming the twists that life throws one's way. No matter what happens in life, there's always hope on the horizon. Great job!
A sweet western romance set in historic Montana and Idaho, Nice plot and well developed characters. Ms. Hayes does an especially good job of showing the stamina, and determination necessary to be a farmer on the frontier..
Cora is shy and obeys her father so as not to cause trouble. She even marries an older man to please her dad. Then a freak accident happens. Her husband is dead and she is injured. Thank goodness Jasper comes along. Jasper has had a tough life because he is the son of a soiled dove. Will Jasper finally stop being stubborn and show his love for Cora? Will the evil brother of Cora's dead husband steal her away? Dale wants his brother's land and needs Cora to marry him to gain title. Will Cora learn to make up her own mind and be strong? This is such a wonderful story. I couldn't stop reading.
Cassie Hayes hit it out of the park with this one. I had a very hard time putting it down. This story is a beautifully written clean story with lots of life lessons. There is so much packed in this story. I cannot wait to read the future books in this series. Well done!
